Agentic Loupes - LoupeIn

Problem. Dental records store everything and surface nothing. A documented allergy, an active anticoagulant, a note reading "patient reports stopping Warfarin," an unreviewed radiograph — all on file, all requiring someone to go looking. That search happens gloved, with the patient in the chair. Summaries don't solve it: too long to read chairside, or too short to trust. Alerts that fire on everything get clicked past.

Who it helps. Dentists working in loupes. Hands are occupied, gloves are contaminated, and the magnified field is fixed on the tooth — the chart is unreachable exactly when it matters. LOUPEIN is built for that constraint: the dentist states the procedure aloud and the review runs without touching anything. Today that path is the /live page — Gemini Live for speech, phone on the counter, cards on the laptop. A heads-up overlay into the loupes is the intended endpoint and is not built; the project began as that overlay and pivoted to the workflow underneath it.

Solution. Ask "given what I am about to do, what deserves a second look?" rather than "what is in this chart?" Four agents: Context Interpreter turns "filling, tooth 12" into a plan; Guardian Investigator runs a ReAct loop over nine deterministic record tools, choosing each read from the last; Skeptic challenges every candidate and returns SURFACE, DISMISS, or VERIFY; Composer formats survivors and adds no advice. Every card carries its source row id and opens that record on tap.

Impact. The dentist-patient interaction is both streamlined and made more personable; the dentist is able to back their work with evidence, garnering trust from the patient; the useful question is not "what is in this chart?" It is "given what I am about to do, what in this chart deserves a second look?"

Status. Proof of concept, still much more work to do including a patient oriented experience to help them understand what their dentist is doing.
