Axis provides kernel-enforced, function-level locking for multi-agent development teams. By utilizing root-level OS permissions (chflags schg on macOS and chattr +i on Linux), it prevents unauthorized agents or developers from overwriting functions currently claimed by another, eliminating quiet code clobbering and merge conflicts across parallel agents.
